Vol. 364 No. 6

Written Answers - County Cork Road Subsidence.

34.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the inconvenience caused to local residents as a result of the subsidence of the public roadway in the vicinity of Dunmore, Brittas Mines and Clonakilty, County Cork; if his Department have any plans for road restoration works in this area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have seen a press report about this matter. I understand that the roads in question are county roads. Accordingly, primary responsibility for any road works considered necessary, including the provision of the finance required, rests with the county council.
