Two officers in the clerical grades were transferred from the Dublin area to my Department's office in Castlebar during the past six months. There are at present 220 applications on file from persons interested in such transfers of which 208 are from officers of other Departments. The majority if not all of their names would also be on the other Departments' transfer lists. I anticipate that there will be a transfer of one person, employed on a job-sharing basis, to Castlebar within the next three months.
