There is no record of the receipt in my Department of any notification that the outstanding work as notified to the applicant in December 1985 has been completed. However, the file is now being referred for inspection and on receipt of the inspector's report the question of the payment of the appropriate level of grant will be considered.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant inspection will be carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Offaly as the job is completed.
An inspection is being arranged with a view to payment of the grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in regard to an application for a £1,000 new house grant from a person (details supplied) in County Laois; and when this will be paid.
The applicant has been requested to submit further documentation in support of his application including certain information in connection with a house previously owned by him. When this information has been received his application for a grant will be further considered.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in regard to an application for a new scheme home improvement grant from a person (details supplied) in County Offaly; and if his application has been approved.
Notification has been issued to the applicant authorising him to proceed with the work in respect of which he sought a grant. The work will, of course, be subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than prior inspection) applicable when the application for the grant was made.
