Vol. 365 No. 8

Written Answers. - Killybegs (Donegal) Vocational School.

20.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for Education if in view of the fact that the physical education facilities at the new vocational school in Killybegs, County Donegal, will be used by the community, the vocational school and the hotel training and catering college, he will make provision, as he has done for Dungloe and Gweedore in County Donegal and Clifden in County Galway, for a PE hall of 474 square metres, leaving Killybegs Development Association and Parish Council to provide stage two of the development, i.e. a community centre.

The size of the physical education hall being built as part of the new vocational school at Killybegs is much larger than that normally allowed for schools of similar size. This is in order to allow for proposed usage by

(a) The Hotel Training and Catering College; and

(b) Local community interests.

The area of the hall together with ancillary facilities is 499m².
