Galway County Council were notified of their 1986 small water and sewerage schemes capital allocation of £112,000 on 28 February. It is a matter for Galway County Council to nominate the schemes to be carried out within this allocation from their overall small schemes programme as approved by my Department.
I hope to advise all local authorities, including Galway County Council, of their initial capital allocations towards major sanitary service schemes shortly.
It will be a matter for the county council to decide on the expenditure of the initial allocation on fully approved schemes.
