A land improvement scheme was approved under the land project in 1973 but was not carried out at the time. This approval lapsed automatically when the land project was replaced by the farm modernisation scheme (FMS) in 1974.
A recent application from the person named for a grant for land drainage under the FMS was rejected as the applicant's participation in the scheme had terminated.
The FMS has recently been replaced by the farm improvement programme. The person named is advised to contact his local ACOT office with a view to making application for admission to the programme for grant aid for his future investment requirements.
