Vol. 365 No. 13

Business of Dáil.

An Order has been handed to me——

In order to clarify the position the Chair understands that it is necessary to make an order.

Do I have to speak until 4 o'clock?

If the House accepts the order you may not have to.

I will read it out and I hope it has the desired effect because the original order did not. By agreement and notwithstanding the Order of the House today, the questions necessary to bring the proceedings on these Votes to a conclusion shall be put forthwith — I do not want to put them forthwith — or when the Minister concludes but successively not later than 4 p.m.

This is the fourth order today and I am quite sure we are setting some little record. We would not like to interfere with that in any way. The Minister will be very interested in this situation because he will recall that the various discussions and debates we had were orders of the House.
