Financial allocations for 1986 issued to vocational education committees on Monday 5 May 1986. These allocations do not, however, represent the full allocations for the whole financial year; additional allocations for the purposes indicated below will be issued at a later stage.
A financial allocation of £1,323,582 was notified to the town of Drogheda Vocational Education Committee. The total financial allocation in 1985 was £1,637,733. The present partial 1986 allocation represents a 20 per cent decrease on the 1985 total allocation. However, the 1986 allocation as now notified to the VEC does not include the following:
(a) Separate budget in respect of adult education;
(b) Provision, as appropriate, for the cost of new teachers as from 1 September 1986;
(c) Cost of the vocational preparation and training programme for the period September-December 1986 and
(d) Cost of European Social Fund training grants for the period September to December 1986.
