asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in new house inspection on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; and when this inspection will take place.

There has been no avoidable delay in dealing with this case and the inspection will be carried out within the next few weeks.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a final inspection will be carried out and payment of a house improvement grant will be made to persons (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Arrangements are being made to have an early inspection carried out in this case.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have an early inspection carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who had made application for a house improvement grant, where it is urgent that she proceeds with the work as soon as possible.

An inspection will be carried out within a few weeks with a view to the approval of a grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when an inspection will be carried out with a view to approval of a house improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny where the application has been made for some time.

This application is among those covered by the dispensation from the prior inspection requirement. Notification was issued to the applicant authorising him to proceed with the work in respect of which his application was made subject to the conditions of the scheme (other than the prior inspection requirement) applicable when he applied for the grant. An inspection in the case has since been requested and this is being arranged.
