Is the Taoiseach aware through newspaper reports of a further leak from the appalling Sellafield nuclear plant and would he like to take the opportunity to reassure the nation that he has been notified by British Nuclear Fuels, by the British Government? Would he like to make a statement in the House on this?

That does not arise. The Deputy knows that we had that one day here and that got out of hand.

With your permission, Sir, I wish to raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of the Private Notice Question of Tuesday, 20 May.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

The matter is still under examination. The House is aware that there are difficulties in that making provision of this kind is open to abuse.

A Deputy

It is a very urgent and serious matter.

The Chair does not dispute that it is important.

Let me ask the Taoiseach if the Minister responsible will be making any representations——
