I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer ceased employment in July 1985. All the tax which had been deducted from her earnings for 1985-86 was subsequently refunded to her.
On 15 April 1986, the taxpayer applied for a repayment of tax deducted from earnings which she stated that she had received. The inspector wrote to her on 21 April 1986, for the details of those earnings and tax deducted therefrom but the required information has not yet been received. As the company for which the taxpayer worked is in receivership, the inspector will now communicate with the receiver requesting the details which are necessary to deal with the taxpayer's claim.
