I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that reviews of the taxpayer's income tax liabilities for the years 1982-83 and 1983-84 have been carried out and an overpayment has emerged. A cheque in settlement will be issued to her as soon as possible. The inspector of taxes will now communicate directly with the taxpayer requesting the details which are required to enable reviews of her tax liabilities for 1984-85 and 1985-86 to be carried out. The question of the taxpayer's entitlement to a refund of PRSI. deductions is one for the Minister for Social Welfare to consider.
