The allowance for deboning intervention beef was increased by about 10 per cent with effect from 1 April 1985 and now stands at 10.9207p per kg. This rate is considered adequate and no difficulty has been experienced by my Department in arranging for the deboning of the maximum quantity permitted under the relevant EC Regulation.
