The Teamwork scheme is a community based scheme designed to assist local organisations provide temporary employment for the mutual benefit of young people and their communities. The take up of the scheme by community organisations has been very satisfactory. In 1986 42 projects employing 307 people have been approved under Teamwork. In addition, more than 300 applications for further projects have been received. The question of providing additional resources to fund some of these projects is under active consideration at the moment.
