The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that a return of income claim for allowances form for 1986-87 was handed in to the tax office by the taxpayer as recently as 26 May, 1986. The inspector of taxes will now examine the claim and any amendment of the taxpayer's tax-free allowances arising out of that examination will be made as soon as possible.
