asked the Minister for the Environment if he will state in relation to the Carron group water supply scheme near Barraduff in County Kerry (a) the present position, (b) the progress which has been made in recent months and (c) when work is likely to commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter, in view of the fact that there are 18 householders involved.

No proposals for a group water scheme at Carron have been received in my Department. However, I understand that householders in the area have approached Kerry County Council about the possibility of taking water from a nearby public supply in order to provide a group scheme.
