Vol. 368 No. 5

Written Answers. - Rosslare Portal Veterinary Inspection Service.

190.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware of the confusion caused at Rosslare port, because there is no resident port veterinary health inspector; if he will appoint such an inspector immediately; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The portal veterinary inspection service, at Rosslare, including the question of the appointment of a resident portal inspector, is kept under constant review in the light of the volume of traffic requiring veterinary inspection passing through the port. At present the inspection service provided is considered to be adequate.
