I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the new land certicate in question was issued by registered post on 4 March 1986 to the person named by the Deputy at the address given in details supplied by the Deputy.
The relevant statutory rules provide that an order for the issue of a new land certificate may be made only where it is proved to the satisfaction of the Registrar that the original certificate has been lost or destroyed. The process of establishing such proof is often time consuming, as it was in this case.
