I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the taxpayer has not completed a return of income-claim for allowances form since 1979-80. The inspector of taxes will now issue a return form to the taxpayer for completion and on receipt of the form, duly completed, his tax affairs will be brought up to date.
