My Department authorises to each vocational education committee an annual allocation of teaching posts for the purposes of servicing approved day courses conducted in its schools. This allocation is given on a global committee wide basis and not in respect of individual schools. It is the responsibility of the vocational education committee concerned to allot the posts and to assign their teachers to the individual schools in accordance with the requirements of its educational scheme. It will be appreciated that the staffing arrangements for the vocational schools in County Monaghan is primarily a matter for consideration by County Monaghan vocational education committee.
