The Golden Vale Co-op is the only industry in the Charleville area which has made a formal application for a supply of natural gas. I understand from Bord Gáis Éireann that construction has already commenced on the pipeline to serve the Co-op. I am further informed by the board that it may be possible to provide supplies to other industrial applicants in the area where this is technically and economically feasible.
