Vol. 369 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Building Programme.

288.

asked the Minister for Health the amount of money allocated to the North Western Health Board and the South Eastern Health Board in the current year for the new hospitals at Sligo, Wexford and Waterford respectively; and when it is expected that work will commence on the building of these hospitals.

The expenditure to date for the current year on these three hospital projects is Sligo, £152,000; Wexford, £34,000; Waterford, £105,000.

These amounts have been recouped to the North Western and South Eastern Health Boards respectively. Any further expenditure that may arise during the current year will relate to professional fees for completion of planning of the projects. It is not yet clear what this will amount to.

Building work should be ready to commence on all three projects during the first half of 1987.
