Estimates of the mid-April labour force classified by broad sector of economic activity are compiled on an annual basis. The figures for the 1980-85 period are shown in the following table which contains data for the agricultural and building and construction sectors, respectively. There are no corresponding estimates for tourism which is not identified as a separate sector in economic activity classifications. Tourist related activities extend across a number of sectors including transport, commerce, hotels, restaurants and other services, none of which are exclusively devoted to tourism.
Estimates for 1986 will not be available until the second quarter of 1987 when the results of the 1986 Labour Force Survey come to hand.
