(Limerick West) asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will express in terms of milk equivalent the quantities on a yearly basis of the New Zealand butter being allowed to be imported into the Community under the most recent agreement of the Council of Ministers.

The approximate quantities, in terms of milk equivalent, of New Zealand butter which may be imported into the United Kingdom under the special terms agreed by the Council of Ministers are 1.8 million tonnes in 1987 and 1.78 million tonnes in 1988.
