asked the Minister for Health the number of children affected by Reyes Syndrome in Ireland; and if any research has been undertaken by his Department to establish the reasons for this particular illness.
Written Answers. - Reyes Syndrome.
17.
The records of the National Drugs Advisory Board show a total of ten cases of children affected by Reyes Syndrome in the years 1980 to 1985. While research has not been undertaken by my Department on the illness, studies being carried out in the United Kingdom and the United States are monitored by the medical officers in my Department.
