I have recently given approval to the Western Health Board to acquire a site at Kilmaine Road, Ballinrobe, for the proposed welfare home. This approval is conditional on the board satisfying themselves that all services are easily and economically available and that sub-soil conditions will not impose abnormal costs on any development proposals. I am waiting a response from the board in this regard.
