It is a matter for Clare County Council to bring forward proposals to improve the water supply within their functional area.
In this regard, my Department conveyed approval to the preliminary report for the west Clare regional water supply (extension) scheme — stage 6 — extension to Kilkee in February 1986. It is a matter for Clare County Council to prepare the necessary contract documents and submit them to my Department for approval.
