The question refers to internal Garda matters and specifically to matters involving Garda discipline which are exclusively the responsibility of the commissioner, except in very limited circumstances which are not relevant in this case. I could not agree to supply information of the nature which is sought in reply to a parliamentary question and as far as I am aware it has never been the practice to do so.
