As will be appreciated, the Garda strength assigned to individual areas fluctuates within any particular year. The figures provided for the purposes of this reply are those which applied at the end of each of the calendar years in question.
The overall Garda strength assigned to stations in the Garda districts of Cork city north and Cork city south as at 31 December 1975 was 405. In the three succeeding years the overall strength varied as follows: At 31 December 1976, 400; at 31 December 1977, 415; at 31 December 1978, 456.
