Vol. 370 No. 5

Written Answers. - Proposed School Extensions.

177.

Mr. Cowen

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding Banagher national school extension; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Deputy is understood to refer to St. Rynagh's national school, Banagher, County Offaly, for the proposed extension of which tender documentation has been prepared. The question of inviting tenders for the project will arise for consideration in the context of the 1987 capital allocation to my Department for national school building, and the outcome will be conveyed to the school authorities as soon as possible.

178.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position with regard to the proposed extension to Knockraha national school.

Following the completion of a site survey by my Department's professional officers, the preparation of a sketch scheme for the proposed extension to Knockraha national school, County Cork, has been put in hands and will be completed as soon as possible.
