The total allocation made available to Bord Fáilte in 1985 by way of grant-in-aid, for current expenditure under section 2 of the Tourist Traffic Act, 1961, amounted to £24,876,000 of which £24,806,000 was spent. The saving of £70,000 was due to a reduced demand for superannuation expenditure than that which had been anticipated.
