Vol. 370 No. 11

Written Answers. - Trainer Teacher Application.

79.

asked the Minister for Education the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork who did an interview and examination for the position of primary teacher in the Mary Immaculate College has not been provided with the results which would enable her to improve her standards on the subjects she failed as she wishes to be interviewed again in the coming year.

The position in the case of the applicant in question is that while she passed the interview, oral Irish and music tests for admission to the Colleges of Education she did not come high enough on the final order of merit list to be called to training this year. This was notified to her on 2 October 1986.

It is not the policy of my Department to give details of the marks/points obtained by the candidates, this information being regarded as confidential.
