My Department has agreed in principle to grant-aid the extension of the school referred to. As a preliminary to the preparation of sketch plans for the project, my Department's professional advisers are to carry out a site inspection in the near future. My Department will communicate the outcome without delay to the school authorities.

My Department have agreed in principle to grant-aid the extension of the school referred to. A report confirming the suitability of the land on which the extension is to be sited was recently submitted by my Department's professional advisers, who are now being asked to prepare the sketch plans for the project as soon as possible. I am not in a position at this stage to say when the placing of a contract for the project will be approved.
