The person in question retired on ill-health grounds from my Department on 9 May, 1985. On reaching the age of 66 years on 17 August 1986 he became eligible for an old age pension from the Department of Social Welfare and consequently in accordance with normal practice, his pension from my Department was revised to take account of that.
