Applications for ERDF aid are in general confined to infrastructural and industrial projects which are being financed wholly or partly by the Exchequer within the public capital programme. Should any project be undertaken at Dublin port in the future that might qualify for EC assistance, this Department will put forward proposals for consideration for assistance from the ERDF.
Aid from the European Regional Development Fund has been applied for and received in respect of development at Cork harbour.
