asked the Minister for Health if the board of the Royal City of Dublin Hospital, Baggot Street, Dublin 4 has made proposals for the retention of this hospital as a separate medical facility; if he has received such a set of proposals and if so his views on them; if he will discuss with representatives of the board and other interested bodies the future of the Royal City of Dublin Hospital in the light of these proposals; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Initial discussions have already taken place with representatives of the boards of the Royal City of Dublin Hospital, Baggot Street, on the proposals referred to by the Deputy. These proposals are being examined in my Department and further discussions are planned with the board.
