The promotion of food processing is central to the Government's plans for the development of Irish agriculture. It is our intention to establish a task force drawn from existing processors, the State services, and other interests, which will attempt to initiate new developments in this area. As an existing food processor Siúicre Éireann will of course have an important role to play in this task force.
