asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, he has to complete the drainage of a river starting in the townland of Carrickoghill and flowing through the townlands of Curry, Killargue, Cashel and Ardvaney as part of the arterial drainage of the Bonet river in County Leitrim and if so, when the work will be completed.

The available resources are being concentrated on the completion of the scheduled Bonet catchment drainage scheme works. Drainage of the river channel in question does not form part of the scheduled scheme works, but consideration will, in due course, be given to its inclusion in the scheme.
