Vol. 372 No. 1

Written Answers. - Sale of County Kerry Commonage.

123.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason the commonage called Corcoran's slough, Touratowrig, Cahirciveen, County Kerry, was recently sold to a local co-operative society, even though 20 tenants had turbary rights as a result of the recent sale, as the rent has been increased from £13 to £103 for the necessary rights.

These lands were allotted in 1985 by the Land Commission in the normal course of its operations to the Iveragh Co-operative Society. The letting of turbary thereon is now a matter for arrangement between the co-operative and interested parties.
