I would refer the Deputy to the reply to his previous Question No. 102 of 11 November 1986. Laois County Council have recently submitted an outline proposal to my Department to proceed with the Ballylinan section of the scheme in the first instance. Further information in relation to the design and costing of the proposal is awaited from the council.
