Tenders for the construction of a new health centre at Portlaoise have been received by the Midland Health Board and a report on these tenders has recently been submitted by the board to my Department. This report is currently being examined in my Department. Pending completion of this examination, I am not yet in a position to say when building work will commence.
The estimated cost of the project is of the order of £1 million. Building work will take about 15 months.
