Vol. 372 No. 2

Written Answers. - Milk Cessation Scheme.

26.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of farmers in the Killeshandra Co-operative area who have applied for the milk cessation scheme 1986; the number of gallons applied for; the number granted; the number of suppliers per branch of the co-operative who applied; the number of suppliers per branch who were allowed to participate; and the number of gallons per branch granted.

The number of farmers supplying Killeshandra Co-operative who applied for the first phase of the community milk cessation scheme was 553 and the quantity offered by them was approximately 4.1 million gallons. Of these, 99 farmers with quotas amounting to approximately 930,000 gallons, were accepted into the scheme. My Department does not have a breakdown of the applications from individual branches of the co-operative.
