Vol. 372 No. 3

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefit.

51.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a decision will be made on the application of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 for an invalidity pension, as this person has submitted evidence that she suffers from cancer; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Department is satisfied that the person concerned meets the medical requirements for entitlement to invalidity pension. A form on which to claim invalidity pension has been forwarded to the person concerned and on its return, duly completed, the claim will be dealt with without delay and the pension awarded from the original date of application.
