The question of providing a second level school to cater for the needs of the north-eastern side of Galway city has been under consideration for many years.
There is, at present, sufficient accommodation available in Galway city to meet the overall demand for second level places. In the circumstances the need for the provision of a further school does not arise at this time. The matter will be kept under continuing review.
