Vol. 372 No. 5

Written Answers. - School Transport.

36.

asked the Minister for Education the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been refused school transport to Newmarket boys' national school, while his sister is availing of this facility and is attending Newmarket girls' national school.

The child in question is ineligible for free school transport because he lives less than two miles from Newmarket boys' national school. His sister, who is under ten years of age, is eligible for free school transport to her nearest suitable school, Newmarket girls' national school which is over two miles from her home.
