The rates support grant allocation made to Dublin County Council in respect of 1987 is £34,080,200 or £5,382,574 less than the 1986 grants. The reduction which is greater than in the case of other local authorities reflects the favourable financial position of Dublin County Council as compared to other major local authorities.
