While my Department has indicated that there is no technical objection to the proposals by Galway County Council for a traffic route lighting scheme at this location, it is primarily for the local authority to decide on the priority to be given to the scheme in the current year from its grant of £30,000 allocated in April 1987 for traffic route lighting on national routes in County Galway.
