Following investigation, the unemployment assistance claim of the person concerned was disallowed by a deciding officer in February 1987 on the grounds that his means, derived from the value of board and lodgings on his brother's holding, exceed the maximum rate payable in his case. An appeal against this decision has not been received from him.
A form on which to appeal has been issued to him, however, and when he completes and returns it to his local office his case will be submitted to an appeals officer for determination at the earliest available opportunity. His entitlement to unemployment assistance will be reviewed in the light of the outcome of the appeal.
