Vol. 372 No. 13

Written Answers. - Social Employment Schemes.

264.

asked the Minister for Labour when payment will be made to Louth County Council for reimbursement of all amounts paid in respect of social employment schemes sponsored by the council.

The final instalment of social employment scheme grant aid is withheld from sponsors pending receipt and examination by my Department of audited accounts. Louth County Council submitted audited income and expenditure accounts in relation to ten of their social employment scheme projects. Following consultations between my Department and the county council nine of these claims have been finalised and all allowable payments made. The final claim in respect of the tenth project is currently being finalised.

One other project is due to end on 30 May 1987. This project has been paid up to second last payment stage. The second last payment will issue within the next two weeks. Finalisation of payments for the project will depend on the date of receipt of final audit statement for the project.

asked the Minister for Labour if renewal of the social employment scheme at Lismore GAA grounds (details supplied) in County Waterford will be approved.

A renewal of the social employment scheme at Lismore GAA grounds for a further 52 weeks was approved recently. Formal notification of approval will issue shortly from NMS office in Waterford to the sponsor.
