Vol. 372 No. 13

Written Answers. - Decentralisation of Departmental Offices.

95.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food in view of the remarkable work done on the James O'Keeffe Memorial Institute. Newmarket, County Cork, if he will decentralise his Department's offices, for example the tuberculosis and brucellosis schemes sections and have an office in the O'Keeffe Memorial Hall as a further memorial to the late James O'Keeffe.

The recent Government decision to decentralise civil servants to a number of provincial centres includes the transfer of 150 staff of my Department to Cavan. No further decentralisation of my Department's staff is contemplated.
